THE PROBLEM

Increase engagement of high-need patients

While this mental healthcare startup was successfully connecting patients to its patient referral system, there was a key segment of high-need patients that weren’t being connected. My team was formed to understand what other potential referral channels could be created to engage this segment.

 

Research

  • 17 in depth 1-hour phone interviews

  • Probing topics such as mental health journey, support networks, ideas on health, mental health stigma

Mapping

  • Shared findings with product team and C-suite stakeholders, gaining buy-in for proposed directions

  • Prioritized opportunities by effort to test, potential user impact, cycle time and potential reach.

Experiment

  • Our research laid the groundwork for a 6+month roadmap of directions to experiment within.
